Role Overview
We are seeking a Partnership Lead focused on Grants & Foundations to identify, cultivate, and secure funding opportunities that align with our mission and long-term impact roadmap.
This role is ideal for someone with experience writing grants and managing relationships with philanthropic institutions, research funding programs, and community foundations.
On a day-to-day basis, you will source grant opportunities, lead proposal development, coordinate with internal program leads for technical content, and steward relationships through reporting and renewals. foundations.
This role reports directly to the Head of Partnerships and collaborates with the Operations and Program teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize grant opportunities that align with AI for Vietnam’s mission and strategic initiatives.
- Lead grant proposal development from concept to submission, coordinating with program owners, technical teams, and leadership.
- Maintain a grant calendar tracking submissions, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
- Develop supporting proposal materials (project plans, budgets, narratives, impact metrics) in collaboration with the Operations team.
- Maintain relationships with philanthropic partners through grant reporting, outcomes updates, and renewal conversations.
- Track and communicate grant progress, risks, and funding outcomes to leadership.
- Maintain internal documentation for grant requirements, restrictions, deliverables, and financial reporting needs.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years experience in grant writing, nonprofit development, or program fundraising.
- Strong writing and storytelling abilities with clarity in articulating impact.
- Proven ability to coordinate across functions to gather inputs and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication in English & Vietnamese.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and persistent with follow-through.
- Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with donor CRMs or grant management systems.
