About AI for Vietnam

AI for Vietnam (AIV) is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Vietnamese professionals from the world’s leading technology corporations and prestigious academic institutions. We serve as a bridge between global AI advancements and Vietnam’s growing tech ecosystem, uniting a global network of over Vietnamese experts across the globe to accelerate the nation’s technological progress.

We operate at a unique historic pivot where Vietnam has the opportunity to rise as a creator—not just a follower—in the AI era. Our work is fueled by a global Vietnamese AI talent pool, a domestic workforce with a strong technical foundation, and an eager mindset to innovate.

Our mission is to meet the surging cross-domain demand for AI by:

  • Building open, high-quality Vietnamese datasets and benchmarks that span across hundreds of topics and preserve our cultural nuance.
  • Developing AI solutions rooted in open innovation and community collaboration.
  • Providing open access to AI knowledge and tools for everyone – from students to national organizations.

At AIV, we believe that AI is more than a technological race; it is a cultural mission. We empower the nation to leapfrog traditional development stages, ensuring that AI reflects Vietnamese language, knowledge, culture, and values while contributing to Vietnam’s transformation into a global center of AI excellence.

Role Overview

The Product Operations Manager serves as the operational backbone for AIV’s Product, Engineering, and Research teams, ensuring products are delivered with clarity, alignment, and impact.

The Product Operations function connects strategy to execution by driving alignment across the organization and working closely with Product Managers and Engineers to identify bottlenecks, streamlines workflows. As an extension of the product leadership team, Product Operations balances hands-on execution with strategic initiatives, applying a pragmatic, fit-for-purpose approach to scaling and operationalization.

The ideal candidate is highly hands-on and has experience building and operationalizing end-to-end product delivery processes. They are passionate about creating scalable systems that help Product teams better understand users and execute effectively. This includes implementing feedback loops, developing planning and prioritization frameworks, and designing launch playbooks that elevate the overall effectiveness of the Product organization.

You will report to the Head of Product Operations and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure all products are launched with confidence and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end launch readiness and execution, ensuring product and feature launches are completed successfully, on time, and with operational confidence.
  • Design, own, and continuously improve product operations processes, including workflow design, release and launch checklists, planning cycles, and operating cadences. You will standardize processes for idea intake, prioritization, and execution to help a lean team move faster while remaining aligned with AIV’s mission.
  • Build and manage mechanisms for capturing and synthesizing user feedback, translating the voice of the customer into clear, actionable insights. You will ensure product teams have both qualitative and quantitative inputs needed to make informed, user-centered decisions.
  • Establish rigor in measuring product success and impact by designing reliable metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems. You will track and optimize core KPIs such as data volume and contributor engagement to provide leadership with transparent, ongoing visibility into progress and performance.
  • Coordinate the deployment of new products and features across internal volunteer teams, ensuring operational readiness, clear ownership, and smooth handoffs throughout the launch process.
  • Facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration between Product, Engineering, Partnership, Customer Success, and Marketing to align priorities, remove execution blockers, and drive launches to completion.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in product operations, program management, or related technical operations roles within technology-driven environments. You have a demonstrated track record of building operational processes from 0 to 1 and scaling them thoughtfully in ambiguous, early-stage contexts.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret data and metrics to identify trends and inform strategic decisions. You are comfortable working with analytical tools and large datasets, and can design dashboards that translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both fluent Vietnamese and English. You are able to influence without formal authority and build trusted relationships with cross-functional leaders as well as external partners.
