Role Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented Data Annotators to join our AI data annotation team in creating high-quality training and evaluation datasets for AI benchmarks. This role involves carefully labeling, categorizing, and reviewing data across various domains to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data for AI training and model assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Annotation: Vote or write answer for any given question and context according to detailed annotation guidelines and taxonomies
- Quality Assurance: Review and validate annotations for consistency, accuracy, and adherence to project specifications
- Guidelines Adherence: Follow comprehensive annotation protocols and maintain high inter-annotator agreement scores
- Collaboration: Work closely with research scientists and other annotators to resolve ambiguous cases and maintain annotation quality
Annotation Workflow
Annotators will follow a streamlined workflow for each work session:
- Login to the annotation platform using provided credentials
- Receive Task Round – Platform assigns a batch of data samples to annotate
- Read Guidelines – Review specific instructions and examples for the current task
- Annotate – Apply labels to each data sample according to the guidelines
- Submit – Complete and submit the task round for review
This process repeats for multiple task rounds during each annotation session, ensuring consistent quality and efficient progress through large datasets.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergrad-students in linguistics, computer science, psychology, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks
- Excellent reading comprehension and analytical thinking skills
- Experience with data annotation tools and platforms preferred
- Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions
- Strong written communication skills for clarification and providing feedbacks if necessary
- Previous experience in data annotation, content moderation, or similar roles
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and AI evaluation methodologies
- Experience with annotation tools
- Background in relevant domains (e.g., medical, legal, technical) depending on project needs
Technical Requirements
- Proficiency with computer-based annotation interfaces
- Reliable internet connection for remote work
- Ability to work with various file formats and data types
- Basic understanding of data privacy and confidentiality requirements
